Project Overview
Rondo Community Land Trust is a community-focused organization dedicated to preserving affordable housing, supporting local residents, and promoting long-term neighborhood stability. The organization plays an important role in community development by combining advocacy, education, and housing initiatives.
For this project, I worked on building and maintaining a dynamic website using Webflow and Webflow CMS. The focus was on creating a content-driven platform where articles, events, and updates could be managed easily while delivering a smooth and professional user experience.
Business & Domain Understanding
Community land trusts and non-profit organizations rely heavily on transparency, storytelling, and ongoing engagement with their audience. Rondo CLT needed a website that could clearly communicate its mission, showcase ongoing initiatives, and keep the community informed through regularly updated content.
Understanding this domain meant focusing on:
• Clear communication of the organization’s mission
• Easy access to articles, news, and updates
• Dynamic event listings and community announcements
This understanding directly influenced how the CMS structure and content presentation were designed.
Project Goals
The main goal of this project was to build a fully dynamic website that allows the Rondo CLT team to manage articles, events, and content updates independently through Webflow CMS, while keeping the website organized, scalable, and easy to navigate.
Dynamic Content with Webflow CMS
Most of the website content was built dynamically using Webflow CMS, including articles, blog posts, events, and informational pages. This allowed content to be updated regularly without manual page edits.
Articles & Event Management
Special attention was given to displaying articles and events in a clear and structured way. CMS collections were designed to handle different content types while maintaining consistent layouts across the site.
Fully Dynamic Page Structure
Nearly all major sections of the website were connected to CMS data, making the site highly flexible and adaptable to future content needs.
Content Organization & User Experience
Content was organized to help visitors easily discover articles, upcoming events, and community updates, with intuitive navigation and logical content grouping.
Design Decisions
The design focuses on clarity and accessibility, using simple layouts, readable typography, and clear calls to action that support the organization’s community-driven mission.
Challenges & Solutions
One of the biggest challenges was handling Webflow CMS limitations while keeping everything dynamic. This included structuring CMS collections efficiently, managing relationships between content types, and ensuring articles and events displayed correctly across different sections of the site. These challenges were solved by carefully planning CMS architecture, using reference fields, and building reusable dynamic components within Webflow.
Final Outcome
The final result is a fully dynamic, content-rich website that supports Rondo Community Land Trust’s mission and allows the team to manage articles, events, and updates with ease. This project demonstrates strong experience in Webflow CMS, dynamic content modeling, and building scalable websites for non-profit and community organizations.
